The city of spas, Karlovy Vary, is host to one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals in the world. Cafés are legion all over the Czech Republic, and bars, especially in Prague, perpetually call tourists and locals to come in and enjoy a pivo (beer). Restaurants often serve traditional fare, which is prepared with local grains, beans and potatoes, as well as pork, chicken and other meats.
