Flights to/from Port-au-Prince, Haiti

Montreal, July 4, 2024 - With the improvement of the situation in Haiti and the resumption of operations at Port-au-Prince-Toussaint Louverture airport, Air Transat plans to resume flights between Montreal and Port-au-Prince as of September 2024. We are reassessing the situation and will provide any relevant updates as needed.

Union negotiations

Air Transat announced today that its flight attendants have voted in favour of the recommendation of the mediators from the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, thus ratifying the new collective agreement. There is no longer any risk of a strike, and this puts an end to the uncertainty for travellers.

Situation in Haiti

Montreal, February 28, 2019 -Global Affairs Canada has recently elevated it’s advisory for Haiti to avoid all travel due to the reigning civil unrest throughout the country. This is the highest level of the Canadian government’s Travel Advice and Advisories.
