Costa Rica’s capital, San José (also known as Chepe), boasts numerous restaurants and museums. At an altitude of 1,170 metres, its climate is temperate all year round. Nature’s splendours await visitors who venture just outside the city.

Tortuga Island: Not far from San José, tourists can admire reptiles on a cruise to Tortuga Island, where they might spot crocodiles and multi-coloured birds.
