Global Affairs Canada has recently elevated it’s advisory for Haiti to avoid all travel due to the reigning civil unrest throughout the country.   This is the highest level of the Canadian government’s Travel Advice and Advisories.

Considering the current level of insecurity, we strongly recommend that you respect this advisory.

Information regarding vacation packages
Given the uncertain accessibility of the road leading to the Royal Decameron Indigo Beach, Transat cannot guarantee safe transfers and has therefore stopped the sale of vacation packages, until the end of April 2019.

Information regarding flights
Until the government has reduced its alert level, all customers who have booked a flight to Haiti for the months of February, March and April 2019 are entitled to modify their reservation without penalty. Customers are invited to contact their travel agency or Air Transat’s Contact Center to adjust their file accordingly.

For the time being, Air Transat’s flight operations continue as planned.  However, the situation may change at any moment and without notice.

Air Transat Terminal

Air Transat flights take off from Zone E of the North Terminal at London’s Gatwick Airport, which is 48 km from Central London. Gatwick can be reached by car, bus, taxi and train. At the airport, travellers can find a number of shops and services, as well as food courts. WiFi is available free of charge in all terminals.

Air Transat Check-In Counters

  • Club Class : Our dedicated Club Class and Option Plus counters offer priority check-in to passengers who have opted for these services. Option Plus passengers will be invited to check-in at the Club Class counter if there are no clients waiting in line.
  • Kids Club : Families travelling with children can check-in at our dedicated Family chek-in counter or even at our Club Class counter.
  • Economy Class : All other passengers are invited to check-in at our Economy Class counters.

    • Baby changing facilities specially equipped rooms for feeding and changing babies. Those facilities are provided in the check-in area, in the transfer area and after passport control in arrivals.
    • Kids zones are situated both in the North and South Terminals, they provide a separate area for the kids to play and watch TV (free of charge).
    • Complimentary stroller service, making navigating through the airport easier for parents and more pleasant for kids.
  • Connected to London

    There are a number of ground transportation options available from London Gatwick Airport:

    • Gatwick Express: this non-stop train service connects London Gatwick Airport with central London (London Victoria) in 30 minutes with departures every 15 minutes.
    • easyBus: the cheapest public transport option between the airport and city. This bus operate services from both North and South airport terminals to Earls Court/West Brompton, London Waterloo and London Victoria coach station in central London.
    • Other buses, shuttles and taxis may be worth considering if the first two options don’t meet your needs.
