Important Notice

Following the announcement by the Canadian Minister of Transport concerning the grounding of all Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, we have received a large number of inquiries concerning our fleet and the status of our flights. We wish to reassure our passengers that Air Transat flights are not affected by the Minister’s announcement as Air Transat does not operate the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

History

For safety reasons on all flights, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 devices are strictly forbidden. Such devices may not be transported at all, including in checked, carry on baggage or on one’s person.

Global Affairs Canada has recently elevated it’s advisory for Haiti to avoid all travel due to the reigning civil unrest throughout the country. This is the highest level of the Canadian government’s Travel Advice and Advisories.

Considering the current level of insecurity, we strongly recommend that you respect this advisory.

Information regarding flights
Until the government has reduced its alert level, all customers who have booked a flight to Haiti before February 12, 2019 for departure in March and April 2019 are entitled to modify their reservation without penalty. Customers are invited to contact their travel agency or Air Transat’s Contact Center to adjust their file accordingly.

Air Transat announces the revision of its flight program on Haiti and will suspend its Sunday flights from March 17 to April 28, 2019. The carrier will only maintain its Wednesday flights for the period. Note that the situation may change at any moment and without notice.

Information regarding vacation packages
Given the uncertain accessibility of the road leading to our hotels, Transat cannot guarantee safe transfers and has therefore stopped the sale of vacation packages, until the end of October 2019.
