Quebec City

Quebec City is the capital and second largest city in the province of Quebec. This enchanting town is located in Eastern Canada, on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River where it meets the St. Charles River. This predominantly French-speaking city is over 400 years old and is known for being one of the most visited places in Canada.

Quebec : Experience a captivating and historic city

  • Explore Quebec City’s renowned sites, admire fine art, savour superb dishes and take part in fun-filled festivals. The Quebec Winter Carnival—or as the locals call it, Carnaval—is the world’s largest winter festival. Marvel at snow and ice sculptures, cheer for ice canoe racers, go dogsledding, watch colourful night parades and fill up on some maple taffy! Prolong the fun throughout summer with Festival d’été de Québec (Quebec City Summer Festival), a sizzling 11-day music event! Then step back in time and experience life in the 17th and 18th centuries at the New France Festival featuring shows, storytelling and re-enactments. Stay for the Grands Feux Loto-Québec to watch stunning fireworks light up the sky in front of the famous Fairmont Le Château Frontenac.
