Trusted Traveller Programs

Trusted Traveller Programs, managed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), provide modified screening for pre-approved members, improve security with more efficient screenings, and facilitate legitimate trade and travel.

The TSA PreCheck® Will open in a separate browser window program, with the United States Transportation Security Administration (TSA), is designed to allow Trusted Travellers expedited screening through security checkpoints in participating airports. Members of TSA PreCheck® do not have to remove shoes, belts, or light jackets when passing through screening. Laptops and liquids 100 ml or less (3-1-1 liquids) can stay in their carry-on bags.

Members of TSA PreCheck®, NEXUS, Global Entry and SENTRI programs can now enjoy their membership benefits on our flights departing from U.S. airports. NEXUS, Global Entry, and SENTRI are Trusted Traveller programs Will open in a separate browser window managed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Registered passengers receive a KTN (Known Traveller Number) that they must provide to Air Transat ahead of time by filling in this form up to 24h before departure, or upon check-in (online or at the airport).

NEXUS is designed to speed up border crossings into Canada and the United States (U.S.) for low-risk, pre-approved travellers. It is jointly run by the Canada Border Services Agency and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

For NEXUS members, the KTN corresponds to the PASS ID number. This nine-digit number is located on the back of the NEXUS card, in the upper-left corner. You can also find it on the Trusted Traveller program website.

NEXUS members must enter their PASS ID in the KTN field of the form to ensure the TSA PreCheck® indicator appears on their boarding pass.
