“Step Into Adventure” Contest

CONTEST RULES
(hereinafter the “Rules”)

The “Step Into Adventure” contest (hereinafter the “Contest”) is organized by Transat Tours Canada Inc. doing business as Transat and The ALDO Group Inc (hereinafter the “Organizer”). The Contest runs from June 9, 2025, at 09:00 (ET) (hereinafter the “Contest opening date”) until July 7, 2025, at 23:59 (ET) (hereinafter the “Contest Closing Date”).

1. ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence as of the Contest Opening Date, with the exception of employees, agents, and representatives of the Organizer, its affiliates, advertising or promotional agencies, suppliers of materials, prizes, and services associated with this Contest, as well as any other person directly involved in the organization of the Contest, and members of their immediate family, parents, siblings, children, their spouses or common-law partners, and all persons with whom these employees, representatives, and agents cohabit.

2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE

2.1. No purchase required

The “Step Into Adventure” contest is an online contest. It is open to residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province of residence at the time of registration.

Participation in the contest is possible by completing the registration form on airtransat.com, without any purchase necessary, as long as all required fields of the form are filled, between June 9, 2025, and July 7, 2025.

3. PRIZES

One (1) prize (hereinafter the "Prize") will be awarded.

Prize

  • 1 pair of economy round-trip tickets for two (2) persons departing from YYZ (Toronto) or YUL (Montreal) to a destination served by Air Transat
  • 1 Option plus for two (2) people on the same flight
  • A cheque for $2,600 intended to cover 4 nights in hotel and daily expenses
  • 1 ALDO gift card worth $1,000

The prize is worth approximately $6,000 (CAD).

4. CONDITIONS RELATED TO PRIZES

4.1. Reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking. The general conditions of the Air Transat brochures apply. Insurance fees, personal expenses, personal travel insurance, and travel documentation are not included in the prize. The Organizer strongly recommends that the selected participant purchase travel insurance at the time of booking.

4.2. Prizes are offered in the form of a certificate; winner will be contacted by a Transat representative to make a reservation and must complete their trip before September 1, 2026.
Reservations cannot be made during the following periods:

  • July 18, 2025, to August 6, 2025
  • December 14, 2025, to January 7, 2026
  • March 1, 2026, to March 7, 2026
  • April 1,2026 to April 7,2026
  • July 20, 2026, to August 2, 2026

4.3. The prize must be accepted as offered and is neither exchangeable, refundable, transferable, nor redeemable for cash, and no extension of the validity date is permitted.

4.4. The winner (and their travel companion, if applicable) must have the same departure and return dates on their plane tickets.

4.5. The winner and their travel companion are responsible for paying all additional taxes, costs, and fees of any kind related to their prize (including transportation costs from home to the airport, seat selection, and applicable airport fees), as well as any additional fees that may be added, including but not limited to additional ground transportation, insurance (medical, travel, etc.), personal expenses, tips, meals, and leisure activities.

4.6. Reservations and travel arrangements must be made by the winner. Reservations are subject to availability and must be made at least 30 days prior to the departure date for a trip between May and September 2026. Modifications to these reservations will not be allowed under any circumstances.

5. DRAW

5.1. The contest draw will take place during the week of July 8, 2025.
The draw will be held at the head office of Transat Tours Canada Inc. located at 300 Léo Pariseau, Suite 1000, Montreal, Quebec, H2X 4C2.
A total of one (1) draw will be made from all forms submitted before the Contest Closing Date.

6. CLAIMING THE PRIZE

6.1.To be declared a winner:

6.1.1. Selected winner will be contacted by email or phone by the Contest Organizer within five (5) business days following the draw and must answer a mathematical skill-testing question. If, for any reason, the selected Participant cannot be reached by phone or email within 72 hours following the draw, they will forfeit their right to the prize, and the Organizer will proceed with a new draw.

6.1.2. The selected Participant must complete and sign the declaration and release form (the "Declaration Form") that will be sent to them and return it within ten (10) business days following its receipt.

6.2. Winner will be officially designated by July 24, 2025, at the latest.

6.3. Failure to comply with any of the above conditions or any other condition set out in these Rules will result in the disqualification of the selected Participant and the forfeiture of the Prize. The Organizer will contact the selected Participant to inform them of the procedure for claiming their prize once the duly completed Declaration Form has been received.

6.4. The selected Participant must provide their postal address so that the Organizer can send them the cheque and gift certificate within 30 days of receiving the information.

7. PERSONAL INFORMATION

7.1. The Organizer may, from time to time and with the Participant's consent, use the personal information provided by the Participant for the following purposes:

7.1.1. To communicate with the Participant to facilitate the awarding of the prize;

7.1.2. To communicate directly with the Participant regarding the products and services offered by the Organizer, including special offers and travel information;

7.1.3. To conduct a survey on the effectiveness of the website, advertising, and sales efforts of the Organizer.

7.2. The Participant must indicate whether they consent to the use of their personal information by checking the appropriate box on the official registration form or by indicating it on the handwritten registration form sent by mail.

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS

8.1. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify a Participant or cancel their participation if they attempt to participate in the Contest in a manner that does not comply with these Rules.

8.2. By participating in the Contest, the selected Participant agrees, without additional compensation, to the use of their name, address, city, province, voice, comments, photographs, and/or other likenesses for advertising or promotional purposes by the Organizer.

8.3. This Contest is governed by federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations.

8.4. Incomplete entries, those received after the Contest Closing Date, lost, incorrect, or sent by an unauthorized method will be considered null and void and will not be accepted for the draw.

8.5. The Contest is managed by the Organizer. The Organizer assumes no responsibility for any problems or failures of network lines, online computer systems, peripheral telephones, software, servers, providers, emails, browsers, or any technical issues that may occur, including but not limited to transmission or non-transmission problems, regardless of the cause. The Organizer is not responsible for the circulation of erroneous or inaccurate information, whether caused by users of the website or by the equipment and/or programs associated with or used by the Contest, or due to any technical or human error that may occur during the Contest. The Organizer assumes no responsibility for any errors, omissions, interruptions, losses, defects in operation or transmission, communication line failures, theft, or destruction. The Organizer is not responsible for any injuries or damages that may result from the Contest. The Organizer reserves the right to destroy all documents related to the Contest once the retention period required by law has expired. The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or reschedule the Contest at any time, without notice, if any factor prevents the Contest from being conducted in accordance with these Rules or in compliance with any law, regulation, or policy of any entity having jurisdiction over the Organizer. Please note that general conditions apply to this reservation (please refer to the current Air Transat brochure).

8.6. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Transat reserves the right to modify the travel dates after informing the winner.

8.7. Transat reserves the right to offer a comparable product in the event of program cancellation, force majeure, or any other situation beyond Transat's control without any recourse by the winner and/or their travel companion.

8.8. Any necessary travel documents (passport, visa, etc.) are the responsibility of the winner (and their chosen travel companion, if applicable); they must obtain them before departure.

8.9. In the event that the winner's travel companion is a minor and the winner is not their parent; the legal parent or guardian of the minor must sign the declaration form and accept the invitation on the minor’s behalf in order for them to participate in the trip.

8.10. In the event that the winner and their travel companion do not use part of the prize; no compensation of any kind will be provided.

8.11.The market value of the prize is in Canadian dollars. 

8.12. In the event of loss, theft, mutilation, alteration, or unauthorized use of the prize, it will not be refunded or replaced.

8.13. The contest promoters are not responsible for any delays or cancellations related to the prize that may occur before or during the trip. Any loss or theft of tickets, certificates, or any other goods will not be compensated.

8.14. By participating in the Contest, the Participant acknowledges having read and understood these Rules and agrees to be bound by them and to comply with them. The Participant certifies that the Rules are understandable and reasonably available for consultation.
