Small Change, Big Hearts
Throughout the year, we help people make their vacation dreams come true. But there are other dreams we want to help make come true as well.
Children's Wish Foundation
Transat helps realize the dreams of children who have entrusted a cherished wish to the Canadian Children's Wish Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to enable children with life-threatening illnesses to fulfil their most heartfelt wish.
SOS Children's Villages
Transat has partnered with the international humanitarian organization SOS Children’s Villages to contribute to the well-being of children in its destination countries, where often even their most basic needs are not met. Present in 132 countries, SOS Children’s Villages has been working on behalf of orphaned and abandoned children for more than 60 years, and cares for over 70,000 children in 500 SOS Villages. The organization’s programs are serving over 700,000 children, and endeavour to respond to children’s primary needs in terms of healthcare, professional training and personal guidance.
With the help of its customers and employees, Transat provides significant financial support to this organization that gives disadvantaged children a warm, affectionate, secure and permanent family environment. Transat is working with SOS Children’s Villages in Canada, France and in the United Kingdom.
How you can help
One of the key facets of these partnerships is our “Small Change, Big Hearts” program, which invites passengers travelling on Air Transat flights to put their change (all currencies accepted) into specially marked envelopes that are located in the seat-back pockets on board.
Since November 2017, it has also been possible to contribute to Small Change, Big Hearts when booking a package online on transat.com, with a travel consultant or with a Transat call centre agent.
On your next flight, or when you book your next package, please give generously to help these young, courageous children. On their behalf, we thank you in advance.
