Set off on the ultimate treasure hunt around the world!

The lure of hidden treasure isn’t just reserved for pirates, you know?

Many an adventurer has scavenged far and wide for booty, with nothing but a cryptic, tattered treasure map.

Well, what if we told you we’ve hidden three treasures around the world… and you hold the treasure map in your hand?

Air Transat and Geocaching HQ are sending you on a wild scavenger hunt in Amsterdam, Florida and Richmond, B.C. At each of these destinations, Geocaching HQ has crafted GeoTours, customized tours that lead players to navigate to a series of geocaches, cleverly hidden containers, using their smartphones or GPS. We’ve hidden Air Transat trackable stars in only ONE geocache per GeoTour. Find it. Brag about it. Then hide it at another geocache.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to move the Air Transat star from geocache to geocache, across as many geocaches around the world as possible. How far will our star travel?

The Three GeoTours

Richmond GeoTour

Pacific culture meets Canadian hospitality in Richmond, about half an hour from Vancouver. Get muddy at the Sturgeon Banks, wing it to a WWII air force base and see Richmond’s wild side at Terra Nova.

There are 50 geocaches on this GeoTour. Will you find the one that contains the Air Transat star?

Hint: Let’s cross that bridge when we get to it.

Garden of Amsterdam GeoTour Discover Amsterdam’s beautiful backyard at the region of Gooi & Vecht. Stumble into a storybook at the Amsterdam Castle Muiderslot, travel back in time at the historical villages, and follow the rolling hills to the scenic Leisure Lakes and lush forests.

There are 24 geocaches on this GeoTour. Will you find the one that contains the Air Transat star?

Hint: Taste the local way of life.

Operation Recreation GeoTour

Explore more than 320,000 hectares of land, 160 kilometres of beaches and 2,500 kilometres of trails at Florida’s 71 award-winning state parks. No matter which path you take, it’ll always be the scenic route.

There are 69 geocaches on this GeoTour. Will you find the one that contains the Air Transat star?

Hint: Time-travel to when Timucua Indians fished and hunted these lands, at one of the three Air Transat Florida destinations.

Look for extra clues to the whereabouts of our Air Transat star on the first of each month on our social media. When you find a star, snap a picture, share it on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #ExperienceTransat… and maybe a hint as to which geocache you hid it in.
