MTLàTABLE, Montreal’s restaurant week, is back for its 7th edition November 1 to 11. The ten-day long celebration of all things food will celebrate Quebec’s terroir and wealth of products. The 150 participating restaurants will each offer a three-course, $23, $33 or $43 set-price evening menu. MTLàTABLE is a great opportunity for all food-lovers to go on a discovery of a collection of Montréal restaurants at a wallet-friendly price. Brunches are also back this year with a few restaurants offering a $17 menu to delight all weekend brunch lovers.

Choosing from 150 restaurants can be daunting. In an effort to make things easier, we’ve taken the liberty to draw this list of 11 recommendations. Fell free to book your table at any one of these… or at all 11 of them!

Chez l’épicier

Chez l’épicier’s Old Montreal address has been a favourite for the past 18 years. Chef Laurent Godbout’s creative cuisine features regional and seasonal Québec products with an international twist. Try the Gaspesian lobster bisque and end your meal with the Quebec cheese duet served with local honey and housemade bread.

Tapeo Bar à Tapas

Spanish tapas are always a good idea and great for sharing with friends. This beloved Villeray neighbourhood institution is one of the best places in Montreal to satiate your Spanish food cravings with chef Marie-Fleur St-Pierre’s flavourful dishes.

Boris Bistro

Boris Bistro has recently become the first certified gluten-free restaurant in Québec. The cuisine here is rooted in French bistro with a seasonal twist. Start your meal with the wild mushroom and duck confit tart and end it with the meringue and caramelized pears.

This new restaurant from Le Fantôme team has garnered a great deal of raving reviews since its opening. A playful cuisine is on display here with seasonal menus highlighting the best of Quebec and Canada.

Dining at Verdun’s Restaurant Su is akin to taking a culinary voyage to Turkey. Chef Fisun Ercan’s sunny cuisine is delightful. Feast on an array of hot and cold mezes, small plates meant for sharing, and enjoy the casual and festive ambiance at Su.


One of the best Italian restaurants in Montreal is participating in MTLàTABLE this year. The Little Italy gem serves classic Italian dishes with local ingredients sourced at its neighbor, the Jean Talon Market. Their famous housemade charcuteries are on the menu this year, so don’t miss out!
