    Air Transat begins the renewal of its fleet with the arrival of its first Airbus A321neoLR.

    Transat becomes the first major international tour operator to be Travelife Certified for all its activities.

    The Air Transat fleet is given new livery, reflecting the recent evolution of its brand image.

    Transat disposes of its tour-operating businesses in France and Greece in order to pursue implementation of its refocusing strategy and to accelerate its development in the Americas market. It creates Air Consultants France to commercialize Air Transat flights in France.

    Transat celebrates its 25th anniversary and embarks on a full year of celebrations that truly reflect all the work accomplished and challenges met over the years.

    Transat gets a new look: Transat Holidays / Vacances Transat and Nolitours adopt new logos; Air Transat is also getting a rejuvenated logo, and its fleet of Airbus aircraft is emblazoned with a new livery.

    Transat now commercializes its international tours under the brand Transat Discoveries in Ontario and Transat Découvertes (which replaces Rêvatours) in Quebec.

    Integration of all French operations under Transat France, with 850 employees.

  • 2008

    Air Transat obtains IOSA accreditation and becomes the first North American holiday travel airline to comply with this international safety standard.

  • 2007

    The large Spanish chain H10 Hotels and Transat A.T. Inc. create a five-hotel, 1,600-room joint venture in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

  • 2006

    The Company acquires Thomas Cook Travel Limited in Canada (approximately 200 travel agencies) and British tour operator Canadian Affair.

  • 2005

    World of Vacations/Nolitours Vacances becomes Nolitours. Transat acquires 20 Carlson Wagonlit agencies and tour operator Bennett Voyages in France.

  • 2005

    Transat acquires a majority interest in Air Consultants Europe (the Netherlands). It acquires Turissimo in the Dominican Republic and Air Transat opens its new facilities in at Montréal-Trudeau airport.

    Transat increases its interest in World of Vacations to 100% and acquires an interest in Tourgreece, an incoming tour operator in Athens. Sales exceed $2 billion.

  • 2000

    Transat creates www.exitnow.ca. It acquires a 50% interest (80% in 2004, 100% in 2016) in Jonview Canada, Canada's largest incoming tour operator. It acquires specialized tour operator Rêvatours.

  • 1999

    Air Transat takes delivery of its first Airbus A330. Transat creates www.exit.ca (became www.exitnow.ca).

  • 1998

    Look Voyages launches its Lookéa vacation clubs.

  • 1997

    Transat's sales exceed the $1-billion mark.

  • 1996

    Transat acquires Look Voyages in France and a 35% interest in Canadian Holidays (World of Vacations). It issues shares valued at approximately $88 million.

  • 1995

    Incoming tour operator DMC Transat (later Jonview Canada) is created.

  • 1993

    Transat sets up shop as a tour operator in Vancouver. It acquires tour operator Voyages Nolitour. Transat makes a second public offering for approximately $21 million.

  • 1992

    Transat acquires a 50% interest in Toronto-based tour operator Regent Holidays; its operations are subsequently grouped within World of Vacations/Nolitour Vacances.

  • 1991

    Trafic/Multitour becomes Air Transat Holidays.

  • 1990

    Transat acquires tour operator Vacances Fantasia.

  • 1989

    Transat acquires Voyages Tourbec and British Airways Holidays.

  • 1988

    Transat acquires a 50% interest in Consultour/Club Voyages, a distribution network, and creates Services Haycot (became Handlex in 2000).

  • 1987

    Transat ends its first year as a public company on October 31 with sales of $23 million.

  • 1987

    Transat is created and an initial public offering raises $8.25 million. It acquires Vacances Multitour. Air Transat makes its inaugural flight.
