Important Notice

CUBA | Temporary suspension of flights to Cuba - UpdateFebruary 10, 2026

February 10, 6:30 pm update

Air Transat plans to repatriate 100% of its customers to their point of origin by February 17, 2026

Return flights from Cuba to Canada will take place between February 11 and February 17, 2026.

The return itinerary will be communicated directly to customers and travel advisors within the next 24 hours.

It is important to note that this operation involves significant logistical coordination, particularly due to fuel‑supply constraints.

  • Some flights will operate as originally scheduled, while others may be adjusted in terms of timing or aircraft configuration.
  • Additional flights have also been added.

In the meantime, customers are encouraged to monitor their email communications as well as the Air Transat mobile app for updates. Support is also available from Transat’s on‑site representative teams and through the destination assistance service.

Accommodation and stay adjustments

  • In the event of a stay extension, customers travelling on a Transat package will be accommodated at their hotel at Transat’s expense.
  • In the event of an early return, Transat package customers will receive a refund for unused hotel nights within 21 days following their return.

Refund process

Files with cancelled flights

  • As of February 11, the cancellation and refund process will begin.
  • The process is expected to span approximately 14 days, with files prioritized based on departure date.

Files with shortened stays

  • Files will be processed upon customers’ return.
  • Processing time is estimated at approximately 21 days.

Limited parking at Montréal–Trudeau Airport (YUL)December 19, 2025

Due to the permanent closure of the Multi-Level Parking and EconoParc P5, parking availability at Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) is currently very limited.

Passengers departing from YUL are encouraged to reserve parking online in advance, as access is not guaranteed without a reservation. Using alternative transportation options to get to the airport is also strongly recommended.

Recall of Certain Anker Portable Chargers

The Government of Canada has issued a recall notice for specific Anker portable charger models due to potential safety risks. The affected models include:

  • Anker Power Bank (Model A1647)
  • Anker Zolo Power Bank (Models A1681 and A1689)

As a precautionary measure, we ask that passengers do not bring these chargers on board our flights.
