Update and Acceptance
These terms and conditions (the « Terms and Conditions ») govern participation in the Staria rewards program of Air Transat A.T. Inc. (« Air Transat ») (the « Program »). By participating in the Program, you acknowledge these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them. Any registration, use of the Staria account (the « Account »), accumulation or use of points (the « Points ») and stars (the « Stars ») constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Air Transat may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, subject to section 14, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Terms and Conditions set out below, and applicable laws. Continued membership constitutes acceptance of such amendments to the Terms and Conditions.
-
Description of the Program
The Program allows admissible registered individuals (collectively, the « Members »), to earn Points, combine them through a shared account (a « Constellation ») and collect Stars, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Points and Stars provide access to various rewards (« Rewards ») offered under the Program. Rewards are (i) products and services that may be obtained in exchange for Points, or through a combination of Points redemption and cash payment, as well as (ii) the products, services, advantages and other benefits that may be unlocked with Stars, all in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
In these Terms and Conditions, the terms “you” and “your” refer to the Member and/or the minor whose Account is managed by their parent or legal guardian.
-
Eligibility and Enrolment
Enrolment in the Program is free of charge through Air Transat’s website (AirTransat.com and Transat.com) and is available to individuals who are two ( 2 ) years of age and older. You may hold only one Account and must use your legal name as it appears on your passport or, failing that, other valid government-issued identification document.
Once your enrolment in the Program is complete, you will receive a Member number. You are responsible for keeping and protecting your Member number and your authentication credentials.
You must have a valid email address. An email address may be associated with only one Account. It is your responsibility to maintain a valid email address in connection with your Account in order to be informed of changes made to your Account and to the Program.
A Member may hold only one Account. In the event that the same Member holds more than one Account, Air Transat reserves the right to take any measures it deems appropriate to remedy the situation. It is also your responsibility to keep the information associated with your Account up to date. Air Transat may require you to confirm your identity or provide any information it deems necessary before making changes to information connected to or associated with your Account.

3.1 Junior Members
A minor, being an individual who is at least two ( 2 ) years of age but has not yet reached the age of majority or does not have the capacity to contract in their province, territory or jurisdiction of residence, and who is enrolled in the Program, is referred to as a « Junior member ».
A Junior Member may only be enrolled in the Program by their parent or legal guardian, who must also be a Member of the Program. A Junior Member’s enrolment is permitted solely in connection with their participation in a Constellation created and managed by their parent or legal guardian.
A Junior Member must be enrolled using a unique and valid email address that belongs to and is managed by their parent or legal guardian, and that is not associated with any other Account. The parent or legal guardian of a Junior Member administers their Account on the Junior Member’s behalf. Any person who enrolls a Junior Member represents and warrants to Air Transat that they hold parental authority over, or is the legal guardian of, such Junior Member, and that any information provided to Air Transat with respect to a Junior Member is being personally provided by an individual with parental authority over, or who is the legal guardian of, such Junior Member.
A Junior Member may have only one Account. In the event that the same Junior Member is associated with more than one Account, Air Transat reserves the right to take any measure it deems appropriate to remedy the situation.
When a Junior Member reaches the age of majority or acquires the capacity to contract in their province, territory or jurisdiction of residence, they become responsible for their Account and their membership in the Program. Air Transat may require the Member to confirm their identity, contact information (including their email address) or any other information necessary to maintain their membership in the Program.
For more information about your Account, please consult the Program’s FAQ.
-
Communications
Communications regarding your Account or the Program will be sent by email. By participating in the Program, you agree that all communications relating to your membership in the Program and your Account will be sent to you by email only, by Air Transat or its affiliates.
By enrolling in the Program, you consent to receiving personalized or exclusive marketing offers by email, SMS or through Air Transat’s mobile application, from Air Transat or its affiliates. You may withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing from the Program’s promotional communications directly from your Account. Non-promotional communications essential to the management of your Account will continue to be sent, even if you unsubscribe from promotional communications.

Earning and Use of Points and/or Stars
In order to earn or use Points and/or Stars under the Program, you must be a Member in good standing. You must at all times comply with these Terms and Conditions and, where applicable, any additional terms applicable to the Program including terms and conditions of the partners and suppliers participating in the Program.
-
5.1 Earning Points
Points are earned through the purchase of eligible products and services from Air Transat, Transat Tours Canada Inc. (« Transat Tours ») and participating partners and suppliers. Points may also be earned through promotional offers including limited-time offers from Air Transat, Transat Tours or participating partners and suppliers.
Points earned on eligible Air Transat flights or on eligible Transat Tours packages may be earned only by you, when you travel and your name and Member number appear on the booking. Points will only be added to your Account following completion of the eligible flight, within approximately thirty-six ( 36 ) hours after the flight, or upon return from the trip in the case of an eligible package.
No Points are awarded in the event of a cancellation or for any segment not flown or, in the case of a package, for any trip not completed. Enrolment must have taken place, and the Member number must have been added to the eligible booking before the flight or trip takes place in order for Points to be earned.
For additional information on the terms and conditions relating to the earning of Points, consult the Earn points page.
-
5.1.1 Claims for Missing Points
If you fail to add your Member number to an eligible booking before the flight or travel, you have a period of one hundred and eighty (180) days following the date of such flight or the start date of such travel to submit a request for missing Points, provided that you were enrolled in the Program at the time the flight or travel took place. Air Transat may require any proof of purchase of the flight or travel, or any other information it deems necessary, to verify the eligibility of the request. Air Transat reserves the right to refuse any request that is incomplete, late or that does not allow the eligibility of the transaction to be confirmed.
For more information, please consult the Program FAQ.
-
5.2 Use of Points
The use of Points for a Reward relating to a flight or vacation package applies to flight itineraries operated entirely by Air Transat, as well as to certain itineraries operated in part or in whole by the Program’s airline partners. The use of Points in exchange for any Reward must be made through a direct sales channel of Air Transat or Transat Tours (AirTransat.com and Transat.com) and is subject to the availability and terms and conditions of participating partners and suppliers, where applicable.
The number of Points required in exchange for a Reward relating to a flight or vacation package is dynamic and may vary at any time based on, among other things, the fare in effect at the time of booking, availability, seasonality, demand, fare class, the selected itinerary or any other factor determined by Air Transat or its affiliates, and the terms and conditions of participating partners and suppliers, where applicable.
Air Transat reserves the right to modify and adjust the number of Points required for any Reward.
In the case of eligible flights, Points may be used to pay all or part of air transportation charges, including base fares and carrier surcharges. For eligible packages, Points may be used to reduce a portion of the total amount. Notwithstanding the foregoing, airport taxes, fees and other applicable charges must be paid in cash and may not, under any circumstances, be paid with Points. The redemption of Points for Rewards is permitted only if the Member has the number of Points required for the Reward in question. The offering of Rewards is subject to change. The use of Points is subject to the Terms and Conditions and, where applicable, any additional terms and conditions applicable to the Program and the terms and conditions of the partners and suppliers participating in the Program.
The change and cancellation conditions for airline tickets issued by Air Transat, or for vacation packages issued by Transat Tours, and purchased in whole or in part with Points are the same as those applicable to bookings paid in cash. Where a change in such airline ticket or vacation package is permitted, the price difference or applicable fees must be paid in cash. Where cancellation is permitted and the booking was paid for in part with Points, the Points used will be refunded in full. Any refund of the portion paid in cash will be made, where applicable, less any applicable cancellation fees. Where the booking was paid for in full with Points and cancellation fees apply, such fees will be paid in Points.
For additional information on the terms and conditions relating to the use of Points, please consult the Redeem points page.
-
5.3 Earning Stars
Stars may be obtained by completing certain eligible engagement activities determined by Air Transat. Junior Members are not eligible to earn Stars. The eligible activities, the applicable criteria and the number of Stars that may be awarded may be modified, added or withdrawn at any time, at Air Transat’s discretion.
-
5.4 Use of Stars
Stars allow Members, with the exception of Junior Members, to obtain certain Rewards offered under the Program. The Rewards obtainable with Stars are different from the Rewards obtainable in exchange for Points.
When a Member reaches the number of Stars required to unlock a choice of Rewards obtainable with Stars or meets any other condition then applicable under the Program, the Member becomes eligible to make a choice between one or more Rewards obtainable with Stars.
The Rewards obtainable with Stars that are offered, the eligibility and award criteria, and the terms of selection and use may vary at any time.
Any change to or cancellation of a booking to which a Reward obtained with Stars has been applied may result in the loss of that Reward, in accordance with the terms applicable to it.
The use of Stars and Rewards obtainable with Stars is subject to these Terms and Conditions and to any additional terms and conditions applicable to the Reward obtainable with Stars in question.
For additional information on the terms relating to Stars, please consult the Stars page.
-
5.5 Terms and Conditions of Participating Partners and Suppliers
The terms and conditions governing how Points are earned and used, depending on the products, services, partners or suppliers, are established, as the case may be, by Air Transat, its affiliates or, in the case of third-party partners, by the applicable partners and suppliers.
Such partners and suppliers are third-parties, independent of Air Transat. You may be required to accept additional terms and conditions that apply to the earning and use of Points in connection with products and services of third-party partners and suppliers, where applicable. Air Transat is not responsible for such terms and conditions.
Subject to the policy of any participating partner or supplier, you may earn Points only when you complete an eligible transaction. Unless otherwise indicated, purchases of products and services from participating partners and suppliers made before enrolment in the Program do not earn Points.
The conditions for earning and using Points may vary depending on the participating partners and suppliers and the terms applicable to each of them.
To view the offers of participating partners or suppliers, please consult the Partners page.

Constellation (Group Account)
A Constellation allows a group of Members to combine their accumulated Points into a single group balance of Points to earn and redeem Points more quickly. A Constellation may include up to nine ( 9 ) Members and must be managed by a single account manager (the « Account manager »). An Account Manager may invite Members to join a Constellation and must assign them permissions (earning Points only, or earning and using Points), with each Member being able to accept or reject the invitation. An Account Manager may change Member permissions at any time. The Account Manager role may also be transferred at any time to another Member of the Constellation. A Member may create or join a Constellation, but may be a member of only one Constellation at a time.
A Junior Member cannot initiate the creation of a Constellation and may not be an Account Manager. A Junior Member reaching the age of majority or acquiring the capacity to contract does not alter their participation in the Constellation. Such Junior Member retains the permissions assigned to them within the Constellation, subject to these Terms and Conditions.
When you join a Constellation, all of your accumulated Points are combined with those of the other Members of the Constellation. All Points you earn after joining a Constellation are added to the Constellation’s balance of Points. If you are part of a Constellation, you may redeem your Points only through the Constellation. When a redemption is made by a Member of the Constellation, the Points are deducted in proportion to each Member’s balance at the time of the redemption.
You may leave a Constellation at any time. Upon your departure, the Points you contributed and accumulated within the Constellation, less your proportional share of the Points already redeemed, will be transferred to your individual Account. A period of six ( 6 ) months must elapse before you may create a new Constellation or join another one. Upon the dissolution of a Constellation, the remaining Points will be distributed among the Members according to the same formula.
Air Transat will not intervene in disputes within a Constellation. Air Transat is not responsible for any damage or loss suffered by a Member of a Constellation as a result of the actions of another Member within a Constellation.
For additional information on the terms and conditions relating to Constellations, please consult the Constellation page.
-
Inactive Account
If no Points are earned or used for thirty-six ( 36 ) consecutive months, your Account will be considered inactive and all Points associated with the Account will be forfeited, unless otherwise authorized by Air Transat. In the case of a Constellation, any Account linked to a Constellation is considered active provided that it holds at least one Point and at least one activity is recorded in the Constellation within a thirty-six ( 36 ) month period. If your Account is inactive for seven ( 7 ) consecutive years, Air Transat may terminate your membership, close your Account and reassign the Member number associated with it.
-
Termination of Your Membership
You may terminate your membership and close your Account at any time, without charge or penalty. In the event of termination or closure of the Account, all Points are automatically forfeited.
In the event of a Member’s death, membership in the Program is automatically terminated.
For more information, please consult the Program FAQ.
-
Prohibited Activities
Air Transat may limit, refuse, suspend, cancel or terminate your membership or your Account, refuse to credit or debit your Account, including by cancelling previously credited Points or previously obtained Rewards, or withdraw or restrict access to certain features of the Program or the Account, including, without limitation, in the following cases:
- If you engage in activities or conduct aimed at avoiding or circumventing these Terms and Conditions, or the terms and conditions of a participating partner or supplier, or engage in fraudulent or unlawful activities or conduct;
- Any abuse of these Terms and Conditions, applicable additional terms and conditions, terms and conditions of a participating partner or supplier, or of any benefit, privilege or Reward in connection with the Program, including, but not limited to, the sale or barter of Rewards or the purchase of products or services for resale or commercial use;
- Any misrepresentation made to Air Transat, its affiliates, its participating partners and suppliers or any entity associated with or participating in the Program;
- Any attempt to participate in the Program by automated means; or
- Any other action or conduct that is detrimental to Air Transat, the Program or the interests of affiliates or participating partners or suppliers.
Air Transat may take the measures necessary to ensure that you comply with these Terms and Conditions, any applicable additional terms and conditions or the terms and conditions of a participating partner or supplier, including by reviewing your Account. If you have failed to comply with, or may have breached, these Terms and Conditions, any applicable additional terms and conditions or the terms and conditions of a participating partner or supplier, Air Transat may, in addition to its other rights hereunder, suspend your Account while Air Transat investigates your activities.
If your membership in the Program is terminated, all of your accumulated Points will be forfeited, without prejudice to Air Transat’s rights and remedies arising from the applicable circumstances.
If the membership of a Member included in a Constellation is terminated, that Member’s Points are forfeited and deducted from the Constellation. In the event the membership of an Account Manager is terminated, Air Transat may, for security purposes, suspend the Account of any Member included in the Constellation managed by the Account Manager whose membership is terminated in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Air Transat also reserves the right to remove a Member from a Constellation and to suspend or prohibit, temporarily or permanently, their future participation in a Constellation.
If such a Member’s Account is reactivated, Air Transat may, for security purposes, withdraw the Member’s ability to participate in a Constellation in the future. To the extent that Air Transat again authorizes the Member to participate in a Constellation, a waiting period of six ( 6 ) months will be applied.
-
Account Verifications and Corrections
Air Transat reserves the right, at any time, to verify the accuracy of the transactions recorded in a Member’s Account and to make any required correction, including by debiting or crediting Points, where an inaccuracy is identified. Such an inaccuracy may result from, without limitation, a technical or operational failure, an ineligible transaction, a transaction that has been refunded or charged back, a duplicate entry, or erroneous information transmitted by a participating partner or supplier.
-
No Monetary Value; No Property Right or Vested Right
Points and Stars have no monetary value, are not the property of the Member, do not constitute a sum of cash or a cash equivalent, and may not be exchanged for or converted into cash. Points and Stars may not, under any circumstances, form the basis of a pecuniary claim against Air Transat, its affiliates or any of the participating partners or suppliers. Points and Stars may be used only in accordance with the Terms and Conditions and exclusively to obtain Rewards made available by Air Transat from time to time. Air Transat may, in its sole discretion, allow Members, from time to time, to purchase, gift, transfer or otherwise dispose of Points or Stars, subject to such terms, conditions and fees as Air Transat may establish. No Member has any vested right in the Program or in the Points and Stars.
-

The Program is offered “as is” and may contain errors, interruptions, delays or limitations. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Air Transat (including its affiliates and representatives) does not warrant that the Program will be available at all times, free of errors or imperfections, or suited to particular needs.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Air Transat (including its affiliates and representatives) assumes no liability to you for any reason whatsoever, including, without limitation, in respect of any use of or participation in, or inability to use or participate in, the Program, any modification, suspension or interruption of the Program, any act, omission, product or service of any third party (including the partners or suppliers participating in the Program), or any error relating to information about your membership in the Program or your Account, and Air Transat cannot be held liable for any unauthorized access to your Account.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, by enrolling in or participating in the Program, you (and your parent or legal guardian, as applicable) agree to release and discharge Air Transat, its affiliates and its representatives, as well as each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns, from any and all liability in respect of any loss, liability, claim, demand, damage or expense asserted by any person or entity that relates in any way whatsoever to, among other things, the Program, your use of or participation in the Program or your inability to use or participate in the Program, or the use of any product or service obtained in connection with the Program.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Air Transat, its affiliates and its representatives, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, successors and assigns, shall in no event be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, economic or exemplary damages of any nature whatsoever, on contractual, extra-contractual or other grounds, whether arising from, or in any way related to, your membership in the Program, the Program or these Terms and Conditions.
Furthermore, Air Transat (including its affiliates and representatives) is in no way responsible for any tax consequences arising from your participation in the Program. You are solely responsible for reporting any taxable benefits and for discharging any tax obligations.
