Due to the impacts caused by the passage of Hurricane Irma, here are the changes to some of our destinations:

Cuba
Our airline operations to Cayo Coco and Cayo Santa Maria will be suspended until October 31, 2017. Our operations to Holguin will continue as normal, with a flight scheduled as of this Friday, September 15, 2017. We expect to resume our operations to Varadero as of September 22, 2017.

Dominican Republic and Mexico
To meet the higher demand, we will be increasing the capacity on our flights to the Dominican Republic and Mexico during the months of September and October 2017.

We are currently coordinating all the changes to our bookings following the passage of hurricane Irma. Our teams will contact all customers impacted by those changes. We thank you in advance for your collaboration.

Transat introduces new vacation packages to Haiti

Now travellers wishing to enjoy the “Haiti Experience” at their own pace have even more choices.

Montreal, January 29, 2015 — Transat, one of the largest integrated tourism companies in the world and the leader in Canada’s holiday travel industry, is proud to introduce new vacation packages to Haiti from Montreal. Available for 7 or 14 nights, these more “traditional” packages include roundtrip flight, transfers and accommodation in one of three hotels offered in Port-au-Prince or at one of four resorts on the Côte des Arcadins. Meal plans vary according to the hotel booked. Transat Holidays has enhanced its existing offer to this Caribbean destination renowned for its historic sites, natural beauty, superb beaches, and many sports and water activities.

Actively involved in reintroducing tourism to Haiti

Since January 2013, Transat has been actively involved in reintroducing tourism to Haiti. In partnership with the Department of Tourism and several local organizations, Transat Holidays created the Experience Collection Haiti, an innovative range that offers vacations based on authentic experiences, culture and nature. Available as “Duos” and “Trios”, these packages include a varied program of guided excursions so travellers can thoroughly explore Port-au-Prince, the Côte des Arcadins and Cap-Haïtien.

The new packages of Transat

Designed to meet a growing consumer demand, the new packages allow visitors to explore a destination more freely at their own individual pace. Tourists can either opt for a less ordinary beach vacation experience on the Côte des Arcadins, or immerse themselves in city life in Port-au-Prince. These simple and practical options are also sure to appeal to those travelling to Haiti on business or to visit family and friends.

Weekly flight between Montreal and Port-au-Prince

Air Transat offers a weekly flight between Montreal and Port-au-Prince, on Wednesdays from January 14 to October 28, 2015. Packages include stays at a range of 3, 3½ and 4-star hotels in Port-au-Prince and the Côte des Arcadins: Best Western Premier, Royal Oasis by Occidental, Karibe Hotel, Club Indigo, Kaliko Beach Club, Moulin sur Mer and Wahoo Bay Beach Hotel.

Transat Holidays is the only tour operator offering this type of stay in Haiti. It is pleased to distance itself from its competitors by enhancing its vacation offer in Haiti and contributing to local economic development.
