Transat comes to Fort McMurray’s aid

The whole Transat team wishes to express its support for the people affected in one way or another by the forest fires raging in northern Alberta, especially in the Fort McMurray region.

As a gesture of solidarity, Transat is announcing a gift of $25,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to help relief efforts for the people and municipalities affected. It encourages its employees, as well as all Canadians, to make a personal donation via the website redcross.ca/forest-fires-in-alberta.

As an international tour operator, Transat’s corporate responsibility is reflected in the countries in which it operates as well in its 60-odd destination countries, where it is hard at work contributing to sustainable tourism industry development. In that vein, Transat supports a variety of social and humanitarian causes that provide assistance to local communities in need.
