Explore Cozumel

  • Diving, the sport of choice

Cozumel is known for its vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life. Hang out with starfish and sea turtles in the Palancar, Columbia and El Cielo reefs, drift along the colourful Santa Rosa underwater wall, or explore shipwrecks for an added thrill.

  • Archaeological sites

Cozumel’s biggest complex of Mayan ruins is the San Gervasio park. And the quirkiest is the Tumba del Caracol temple, whose snail shells embedded in its dome roof sing when the wind blows!

  • Captivating nature

How about a dip in a cenote at Jade Cavern, or even a day at the Chankanaab Adventure Beach Park? This nature reserve is home to coral reefs, 350 tropical plant species, and a natural aquarium with dolphins, manatees and sea lions.

  • Island outings

From exploring the origins of chocolate at the Mayan Cacao Company to shopping in San Miguel’s city centre, the island has something for everyone. And when the sun goes down, karaoke bars, live music venues and nightclubs come alive.

Entry and exit requirements
It is important to note that it is the passenger’s responsibility to verify and comply with the Mexican government’s entry and exit requirements. It is possible to consult our practical guide for travellers to learn more about the current requirements.

For more information about passport and visa requirements, visit the Government of Canada Will open in a separate browser window travel website.

Presence of Sargassum in Mexico and the Caribbean
Depending on the weather conditions, winds and tides may bring large quantities of Sargassum to shore. Since seaweed moves with the ocean currents, quantities may vary by place and day. Transat would like to inform its clients that this natural phenomenon beyond its control affects several parts of Mexico and the Caribbean. Although the presence of this brown seaweed is greater than usual, our hotel partners are making every effort to clean the beaches when necessary.
