Untouched and unspoiled by mass tourism, Guyana is yours to explore, whether you are a novice or an adrenaline junkie. Enjoy hikes and treks through the untamed jungle of the country’s rainforests, which covers 80% of the territory, including the Iwokrama Rainforest (one of the best destinations for birdwatching), and the Savannah Rainforest. Witness striking waterfalls, such as Orinduik Falls and Kaieteur Falls, one of the largest single-drop waterfalls in the world. Take a boat ride or enjoy a fishing expedition on one of the many rivers, namely the Essequibo River and the Arakaka River. Discover rare wildlife while climbing Mount Roraima.
