Ghanaian cuisine is deeply rooted in the country's cultural traditions. It is distinguished by its starchy dishes, often accompanied by savoury sauces, spicy and colourful. Be sure to try some of the must-try specialities such as grilled tilapia with banku, a grilled fish served with a fermented corn and cassava paste, Fufu, a cassava and plantain purée served with a spicy meat or fish soup, or Jollof rice, rice cooked with tomatoes, onions, chillies and spices, often accompanied by meat or fish. Ghanaian cuisine is generally enjoyed with family or friends, and each dish evokes a story or celebration.

Ghana's flora and fauna reflect the diversity of its climates and ecosystems, with an extraordinary variety found mainly in Mole National Park in the north of the country. Visitors will discover the largest reserve of fauna and flora in the country, with more than 90 mammals and over 300 species of birds. Kakum National Park, famous for its walkway suspended above the canopy, is also worth a visit. Surrounded by dense tropical forest, the Wli Falls, the highest in West Africa, are also a must-see. It is recommended to visit around midday to admire thousands of butterflies fluttering around the waterfalls, creating a magical spectacle.

Ghana is shaped by places that trace its history and turbulent past. Discover Cape Coast Castle, a former fortified colonial trading post and symbol of slavery, which has been part of the Ghanaian coastal forts listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. The Mausoleum and Memorial Park, where Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first president and a major leader of the Pan-African movement, is buried, are places not to be missed during your visit to Accra. The same goes for the Black Star Gate, located in Independence Square, which commemorates Ghana's independence in 1957. Today's Ghana is a mosaic of cultures, and its past continues to influence its role in Africa and the world.
