"Air Transat Survey" Contest – Club Class

Contest rules (the "Rules")

  1. ELIGIBILITY

    The Contest is open to all residents of Canada that have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence by the Contest Opening Date, except for employees, agents and representatives of the Organizers, their subsidiaries, their affiliated companies, their advertising or promotion agencies, their providers of material, prizes and services related to this Contest and any stakeholders directly related to the holding of the Contest, as well as all the members of their immediate family, father, mother, brothers, sisters and children, their legal or defacto spouse and anyone with whom these employees, representatives and agents reside.
  2. HOW TO ENTER

 

  1. All individuals who are residents of Canada are eligible to enter, except Air Transat's employees and representatives, the parent company, affiliates and associated companies, contest judges and persons residing with any of the above.
  2. To enter the contest, participants need to complete the Customer Survey distributed on Air Transat flights in Club Class and return it to one of the flight attendants prior to disembarking. Incomplete surveys will not be taken into consideration for the draw. Original surveys will be accepted only: copies or reproduction are void.
  3. The contest is open only to people who are the age of majority in their province of residence at the time they complete the survey.
  4. No purchase is necessary to participate in the contest.
  5. Surveys will be distributed on board from December 20, 2007 to October 31, 2008 on selected flights.
  6. This contest may be extended if the decision to distribute surveys for a longer period is made by Air Transat. A new Publicity Contest Notice will be sent to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux to inform them and the appropriate fees will be paid accordingly.
  7. A random drawing from all eligible surveys collected will be held at 5959 Côte Vertu West, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, H4S 2E6 on November 28, 2008 to determine one winner among the participants who returned a duly completed survey form.
  8. A winner will receive one pair of round-trip airline tickets to use on one of the European or Florida destinations served by Air Transat.
  9. Following the draw, the selected person will be notified the same day by telephone, post or e-mail according to the information provided on the survey. To win the prize, the selected entrant must correctly answer a skill-testing question. The selected entrant may also be required to submit valid proof of identity. The winner will then be told how to take possession of the prize.
  10. If the selected person:
    • does not respond to prize notification within 15 days of communication by Air Transat,
    • does not correctly answer the skill-testing question or
    • does not comply with these contest rules,
    • the prize will automatically be forfeited and another entrant will be selected at random.
  11. Incorrect information provided on the survey may result in disqualification and another entrant will be selected at random.
  12. The prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged, refunded, transferred, extended nor cash-redeemed. The prize has no cash value; therefore, it cannot be exchanged for money. Travel must be completed within 12 months of prize confirmation (which is delivered by mail) and is subject to Air Transat flight availability. The validity of this prize cannot be extended. Certain dates are excluded, namely: Easter, school break, Christmas holidays and New Year's Day, and the construction period (Quebec only).The winner and his/her companion must travel together both to and from the selected destination (that is, both legs of the trip).
  13. The approximate value of the prize is $900, depending on the departure and destination cities. No taxes or airport taxes are included in this prize. Personal expenses, travel insurance, and the cost of accommodation and meals are the winner's responsibility.
  14. Air Transat reserves the right to modify the prize or to substitute it by a prize of approximately equal value if the prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason. The winner of the prize and his/her guest must sign a declaration of compliance, a release of Air Transat of any and all liability in connection with the contest before accepting the prize.
  15. Participation in the contest constitutes acceptance and agreement to these contest rules.
  16. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible surveys received.
  17. Air Transat reserves the right, at its option, to publish the winner's name, address, photograph, voice or statements for advertising and promotional purposes without any further compensation to the winner.
  18. The contest is subject to all federal, provincial and local laws.
  19. Air Transat has paid all applicable duties required by Quebec legislation governing publicity contest. This contest is subject to the laws applicable in the province of Quebec.
  20. Disputes concerning the handling of this contest or the awarding of the prizes may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec.
  21. Air Transat reserves the right to cancel or remove the contest at any time, after receiving an authorization first from the Régie des Loteries du Québec.
