Cancún: flights to one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the world
Located on the Caribbean Sea, Cancun and the Riviera Maya boast beaches of fine white sand. What’s more, tourists can enjoy a variety of activities that athletic types and foodies love as much as would-be explorers who are thrilled by Tulum and its Mayan and Toltec ruins.
Vacationers love relaxing by Cancun’s turquoise sea and enjoying the white sand beaches of Isla Mujeres (Island of Women), or else they can admire the island seabeds of Cozumel, that famous divers’ paradise.
Night owls are well taken care of in Cancun, a city that gets its second wind as soon as the sun goes down! And those who are crazy about Mexican cuisine head a little further south to Playa del Carmen to appreciate all of its trendy little restaurants, bars, clubs and distinctive bistros.
Divers have eyes only for Cozumel and its coral seabeds, whereas surfers stick to Cancun’s beaches. There’s no shortage of catamaran, kayak and jet ski excursions, as well as water and land sports in Cancun and its surrounding area.
Not to be missed: a visit to the temples and buildings in the city of Tulum (a Mayan word that means “wall”), about 50 km from Cancun. Those unafraid of heights venture out to Chichen Itza, a little farther away and higher up, at about 150 km from Cancun.
Cancun is the ideal destination for families. The Mexican food is excellent, the activities are endless, and the fauna and flora are fascinating for young and old. The Riviera Maya’s Xcaret Park offers visitors a variety of activities like swimming with dolphins, diving, a zoo, shows and much more!
